A large number of tourists have been stranded in Lukla Airport, after the flights were cancelled for several days due to bad weather.
Airlines operating their flights to the district said that no flights were operated for five days due to poor visibility because of thick fog and heavy rainfall.
The tourists complained that they were in trouble as no flights were operated in Lukla, adding that majority of them have already booked the tickets for the international flights.
Likewise, supply of foods and other daily commodities was affected due to flights cancellation, said entrepreneur Sonam Sherpa.
Tara Airlines, Sita Airlines, Nepal Airlines and Simrik Airlines operate their flights to and from Lukla. RSS
