Minister Pandit displeased by transfer of Joint-secy Subedi

Minister for General Administration, Lal Babu Pandit, has said his rights were gagged by the Council of Ministers, as it transferred joint secretary Bharat Raj Subedi, who is a PR holder of Australia, from his Ministry to the Finance Ministry. Minister for General Administration Lal Babu Pandit said, "His rights as minister were choked by the Cabinet while deciding the transfer of controversial Joint Secretary Bharat Raj Subedi to the Finance Ministry." A Cabinet meeting on Friday evening had decided to transfer Subedi from the Ministry of General Administration.Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit has warned of legal retaliation if other government bodies continued to undermine his stand against the civil servants with permanent residencies of other countries.

The Ministry of General Administration has sought clarification from the Ministry of Labour and Employment regarding the transfer of controversial Joint-secretary Bharat Subedi to the Ministry of Finance. Dissatisfied with the transfer, General Administration Minister Lalbabu Pandit has written to the MoLE asking why Subedi was transferred without consulting the line ministry.

Speaking at an interaction at the Reporters' Club today, Minister Pandit flayed the recent decision of the Cabinet to transfer joint secretary Bharat Raj Subedi to Finance Ministry. According to Pandit, joint secretary Subedi holds a permanent residency of Australia. He claimed that the decision was made through a Cabinet meeting, which he had not attended. More than 1100 high ranking officials received ‘green cards’ and ‘permanent residencies’ (PR) of foreign countries. Minister Lal Babu Pandit revealed more then 1100 officials received green Cards. He mention foreign countries including US and Australia.
