PM consults docs after radiotherapy in New York


Prime Minister Sushil Koirala visited the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York earlier today for a chest x-ray and consultation following the five fractions of radiation therapy he received there over the past two weeks. Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Friday visited the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York for a chest x-ray and further consultations after the completion of fifth cycle of radiotherapy.According to the accompanying personal physician Dr. Karbir Nath Yogi, who had in-depth discussion with the doctors involved in the treatment, the radiation therapy has yielded excellent clinical as well as radiological results, and the Prime Minister would be able to return home with about a week’s recovery time in New York, the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations stated in a press release. Koirala left for the United States for his medical treatment on June 16 after a black spot was detected on his lungs during tests.
