His thoughts about current Political condition. A familiar face in Nepali politics, Lokendra Bahadur Chand was born to Late Mahavir and Late Laxmi Chand on February 15, 1940 in Baitadi. With a long experience in politics, Chand is a four-time prime minister, having held the coveted seat twice each before and after the restoration of democracy in 1990.
He joined politics in 1969 during the hay days of party-less Panchayat period. He first became prime minister in 1982 and again in 1987 during the Panchayat regime. After the fall of party-less system, Chand again became prime minister twice in 1997 and 2002. With a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Chand currently lives in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur.Affiliated to RastriyaPrajatantra Party, he made it to the CA in 2008 via proportional representation from Baitadi.
