Tarajung Rai, 35, of Belbari Municipality-2 of Sunsari district has committed suicide after murdering his five years old son Deependra and three years old daughter Deepika last night. According to Police Inspector Durga Dahal at the Area Police Office, Belbari, Rai murdered his son and daughter by hanging them and he was also found hanged. According to Inspector Dahal, preliminary investigation suggests that Tarajun first killed his two children and committed suicide. He further informed that the police ruled out any outsiders involvement in the crime after interrogating family members, neighbours, locals and investigating the incident site. It has been learnt from Tarajun’s relatives that his spouse had eloped with another individual to get married. Cause behind the incident is yet to be confirmed, still, police are investigating into the case.
