Distribution of the second tranche to the voluntary retired combatants of the Maoists started in Surkhet from October 31.
Paychecks were handed over from 8 am today through the District Administration Office after distributing forms to the former combatants under the Dashrathpur-bases sixth division and three satellite camps under the division.
Dipak Prakash Bhatta, member of the army integration special committee secretariat informed that 2,386 voluntary retired combatants from the division would get paychecks ranging from Rs 250,000 to Rs 400,000 as per their ranks. He added that the paychecks would be handed over till November 10.
