Afghanistan got its revenge against Nepal for its ICC World T20 defeat in March as it knocked the Nepali cricket team out of the 17th Asian Games by 8 runs in a quarter-final match played at Yeonhui Cricket Ground in Incheon, South Korea.Nepal had lost to the Afghan team by eight runs. After the loss, Nepal crashed out of the Men's Cricket of the Asiad.

Nepal had won the toss and was elected to field the first. Afghanistan had set the target of 120 runs, but Nepal could make only 111 runs with the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Afghanistan had scored 119 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Nepal had defeated Afghanistan in the two teams' last encounter at ICC World T20 held in Bangladesh in March. Nepali captain Paras Khadka also could not perform well as he just made a run while Sharad Vesawkar had also left the field in the end of 14th over as soon as Khadka was out two balls earlier.
