SSP Uttam Kumar Karkee is treanfered to Central Investigation Bureau replacing SSP Kharel as MPR in-charge. Though Nepal Police Headquarters had earlier decided to recall SSP Kharel from the MPR as part of departmental action for his alleged remarks against some DIGs in May, the action was postponed after the Election Commission enforced the election code of conduct for by-elections.Nepal Police Headquarters, on May 25, had formed a three-member probe panel led by Deputy Inspector General of Police Bigyan Raj Sharma to investigate the ‘objectionable remarks’ that SSP Kharel had made about DIGs who aspired to become AIGs.
