The Commission for Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Tuesday filed charges against 97 individuals -- ranging from Nepal Oil Corporation employees to petroleum entrepreneurs and tanker drivers -- at the Special Court for corruption amounting Rs 77,784,154 in the Bhalwari Depot petroleum pilferage case. Eight of the accused are NOC officials, including the depot’s deputy director Nagendra Kurmi and deputy manager Kaushavraj Acharya. CIAA has named four petroleum dealers, 66 owners of fuel tankers and 19 of their drivers and employees. Other NOC employees charged are assistant managers Dipak Prasad Ghimire and Ravi Kumar Rawat, manager Dipendra Basnet, former assistant manager Rambhakta Karki and deputy manager Devendra Bahadur Karki.
