The government has developed a preparedness strategy to control possible infection of Ebola virus in the country. The strategy was developed by the Ministry of Health and Population following the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s announcement of international public health emergency in regard to what it said global spread of Ebola hemorrhagic fever virus. Minister for Health and Population Khagaraj Adhikari gave information about this amidst a progamme here today. A special health team will be stationed at all the checkpoints and at the Tribhuvan International Airport to quarantine possible entry of the virus. Necessary arrangements have been made for providing medical checkup and treatment to suspected Ebola cases at the Bir Hospital and the Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital, Teku.
