The election of CPN-UML to choose a new leadership of the party, which was scheduled to start from 8 am started after seven hours due to lack of ballot papers. As the build up to the election for the coveted post of UML Chairman heats up in the ongoing general convention, factions close to the two candidates—KP Oli and Madhav Kumar Nepal are adopting various ways to win votes in their respective favour.And one such way is entertaining the general convention representatives—the voters with some songs and dances.Accordingly, the Nepal faction supporters have gathered in front of Nepal Tourism Board while Oli supporters are being entertained in front of the Bishwabhasa Campus.Notwithstanding the blistering heat, cadres are seen dancing and singing with songs promoting their respective candidate. ‘aayo aayo madhav nepal aayo‘ (madhav nepal is winning) and ‘sabaiko boli abako adhyakcha oli’ (its what everyone is saying, oli is the next chair) are some of the melodic lines sung by the supporters.Many of them are also found wearing caps or t-shirt bearing the portrait of their respective choice of candidate.
