The Principal of Srongtsen Bhrikuti Boarding High School is arrested by police in charge of sexually arrested one of the student in the school. Hung number of Parents and the student protested in the premises of school against principle Mahesh Thapa.
It is also known that students who are in hostel are also sexually exploited.The school was established on 5th March 1982 in a rented house. The number of students at the beginning was barely 100 or so, studying as day scholars with around 12 teaching and non-teaching staff. Three years later, the number of student rose dramatically and thus a need for a boarding facility became an utmost importance. With the approval of HMG (His Majesty's Government) of Nepal then, it was soon transformed into a full-fledged boarding school. Beginning 1988, the number of entrants further increased keeping the same trend year after year.
