Prime Minister Sushil Koirala left to the United States of America for medical treatment today. The Prime Minister is scheduled to undergo a medical checkup in the US on June 19, according to the PM's Secretariat. According to a press statement issued by the President´s Office, Deputy Prime Minister Gautam will assume responsibility of acting prime minister as per the Interim Constitution 2007 during Koirala´s absence.
he prime minister has assured that the meetings of the Legislature-Parliament and Constituent Assembly will be held regularly and civil servants won´t leave any stone unturned to discharge the level of service they are providing now in his absence.
