Man Mohan Adhikari is a veteran Communist of Nepal. He was the Prime Minister of Nepal from 1994 to 1995, representing the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). He was the first democratically-elected Communist Party member to be PM in Nepal.
ManMohan Adhikari dedicated most of his adult life to the fight against the monarchy; from 1994 to 1995, he served as Nepal’s first communist prime minister. He suffered a heart attack while campaigning at Gothatar village in the Kathmandu and remained hospitalized for seven days.He died after seven days at hospital on April 26 at the age79.
