Follow Up: Is broiler chicken good for health?

Posted by Anup Baral January 06, 2015 :

Broiler chicken is not good for health because they eat harmful chemicals in order to get ready for maximum meat production and gain fat. Due to chemicals and injections they face, they grow 3 times faster that the normal chicken. They have growth hormones related problems, which can affect us as well. The bones of broiler chickens are weak as well due to improper growth. Also they lack proper nutrition as they are stuffed with chemicals and medications. 3.5 ounce piece of skinless chicken breast meat has as much cholesterol as the same amount of beef, and just one egg has nearly three times as much. This cholesterol, along with a high intake of animal fats, blocks arteries and causes heart disease. Vegan foods, on the other hand, are all cholesterol-free and much lower in fat.Intensification of the broiler chicken industry started in the late 1950's, when the use of 'dual purpose' chickens for egg and meat production ceased and new poultry strains were produced specifically for meat production.
