Indian smuggler shot by Nepal police in Rupandehi

An Indian national was killed in a shooting incident in Bishnupura of Rupandehi on Saturday afternoon. Sahasran Khan Musalman, who was also in the most wanted list of Nepal Police, was killed in Bishnupura-5 today, according to police.The incident took place Saturday afternoon in Bishnupura village of Rupandhei district, 20 km south from Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha.Security arrangements have been tightened in the district on the eve of 18th SAARC Summit. SAARC Summit delegates including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa are scheduled to visit Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha, in the district.Two Nepali nationals, Hafi Uhalla Musalman and Okil Musalman, were also arrested. The three of them were on the most wanted list and the police had been monitoring their activities for a month. The Government of Nepal has requested India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi to not cancel his visits to Janakpur, Lumbini and Muktinath. The government made the request through the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae.
