Former Nepal king Gyanendra suffers heart attack, condition stable

The health condition of former King Gyanendra Shah, who has been admitted to Norvic hospital in Thapathali after cardiac arrest on Saturday night, is now stable, the hospital informed. RPP-Nepal has wished quick recovery to ex-King Gyanendra who was admitted to Norvic hospital on Saturday night after suffering heart attack. “His condition is stable now. However, he needs to stay one or two more days in hospital,” Dr Yadav Dev Bhatta, a cardiologist involved in Shah’s heart treatment, informed. “We will discharge him from hospital after conducting further tests and treatment. His heart beat is normal now,” he added. 67-years old Shah suffered a mild heart attack around 10 pm on Saturday. The family members had rushed Shah to hospital after he suffered from profuse sweating and nausea at around 10 o clock on Saturday night. The initial medical tests had revealed a mild heart attack and a stent was placed to clear the blockage through an operation in the hospital.
