A Nepali girl from Sunsari district has committed suicide after host nation Brazillost against Gernamy.It is belied that she had supported Brazil in the World Cup tournament.
Thapa, also a local athletics player, was studying in the 10th grade at
the Morning Star Boarding School in Itahari.
According to police, Pragya Thapa,15, of Bharaul-8, a diehard fan of
Brazilian football, hanged herself to death after her team was trounced
by Germany in the semifinal match at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.“She was
disturbed and anxious to see her favorite team going down at the
semifinal match against Germany,” Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sudip
Raj Bhandari quoted family members adding, “ She hanged herself in the
2nd floor of the house as people at home were busy in other household
chores,.”
The host nation Brazil faced humiliating defeat against Germany in a
semifinal match on Wednesday morning.
