Indian police sacked former Indian idol, singer and actor Prashanta Tamang from police service convicting him off violating discipline. Tamang was a police constable with posting in kalkatta. West Bengal Police suspended him on the charge of taking a long leave without considerable reason, reported a Darjeeling-based newspaper.Tamang has been serving as a police constable in Kolkata, wrote the newspaper. According to the newspaper, The police force sacked him after he failed to provide significant reason of taking leave. In 2007, Tamang was declared the winner of talent hunt show Indian Idol in 2007 with the huge support from Nepalese around the globe.
