Mahendra Bista has been elected as the new president of the Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) from the 24th General Convention that concluded on Monday in the election. He was elected as the President of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) defeating rival candidate Poshan KC by 80 vote.

He was elected as the President of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) defeating rival candidate Poshan KC by 80 vote. Mahendra Bista was leading a joint panel of journalists’ organisations close to four left political parties, received 80 more votes than his rival Poshan KC, who represented the Nepal Press Union which is close to the Nepali Congress.
