Nepal Prime Minister expands cabinet

Three months after being elected as the country's executive head Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has expanded the cabinet for the third time by including three members from small parties into his 21-member cabinet.                                                                             

Three months after being elected as the country's executive head Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has expanded the cabinet for the third time by including three members from small parties into his 21-member cabinet. With the expanded cabinet the number of ministers reached 24. Sunil Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party who is a son of RPP Chairman and former prime minister Surya Bahadur Thapa has been appointed as Minister for Commerce and Supplies, Neelam KC Khadka of the CPN-ML wife of CPN-ML General Secretary CP Mainali is appointed as Minister for Women Children and Social Welfare and Giri Bahadur KC of the RPP has been appointed state minister for commerce and supplies. The prime minister is also due to appoint 26 members of the Constituent Assembly.
