The prime minister and members of the cabinet is about to cut on the amount of snacks while attending cabinet and other meetings.It is expected t ohelp cut down Rs 80 to Rs 100 million.
The decision was reached after Prime Minister Sushil Koirala urged cabinet members to adopt austerity in government expenses.Speaking at the 20 Th anniversary of Norvic International Hospital, DPM Gautam urged the hospital to pay attention on service rather than profit. Informing this at a public programme today, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam said "There will be no expenses on snacks in meetings, discussions and cabinet meetings with ministers by the prime minister." This will save Rs. 80 - Rs. 100 million of the state coffer.
