A massive fire that broke out in Dadeldhura district headquarters on Saturday night has been doused after eight hours. The fire has destroyed 21 shops at the main market place in Baghkhor. over a dozen shops and reduced properties worth over a billion rupees to ashes, District Administration Office informed. The fire was caused by a short circuit in a gadget cum clothing store, the police informed. Chief District Officer (CDO) Shibaraj Joshi informed that the fire had not yet claimed any lives. The adjoining houses had to be demolished to contain the fire after no fire trucks arrived on the scene even after hours.
