Ending the longstanding disputes over the constituent drafting procedures, Chairman of the Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee Dr Baburam Bhattarai has finally submitted his committee's report to the Constituent Assembly (CA). Bhattarai, who is also the second-in-command in the UCPN (Maoist), handed over the report to the CA Chair Subash Nembang, a day after he was given 'discretionary' powers over how to send the report to the CA. There was a dispute between the ruling parties – Nepali Congress (NC) and UML - and the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-based parties over the CA procedures.(setopati)
