Mahendra Bahadur Pandey is member of the Communist Party of Nepal , assumed the post of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal on 25 February 2014 under Sushil Koirala-led government.[1][2][3] Personal life He was born in Nuwakot, Nepal in 1948. He served as the Associate Professor of English in Tribhuvan University for 20 years from 1975 to 1995. He earned his Master of Education (M. Ed.) in English from Tribhuwan University of Nepal. He holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) too. He has also undergone a short course on Conflict Management under the Chevening Scholarship from the U K. He is married to Mrs Bhim Kumari Thapa. They have a daughter and a son.
