Hindus across the nation and abroad, are celebrating Vijaya Dashami, the tenth and the most important day of the Dashain festival, on Friday by receiving Tika and Jamara. According to the Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti (Calendar Determination Committee), the auspicious hour for immersing statues of goddesses is at 9:55 am and for receiving tika and prasad is at 10:15 am. However, tika can be received throughout the day.
