A meeting of the major three political parties held today ended inconclusively over the debate on formation of a high-level political mechanism. The meeting of the leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and UCPN (Maoist) held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar failed to strike a deal on formation of the political mechanism though the leaders reach close to consensus on constitution writing, appointments in different posts and functions of the government. Nepali Congress Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel said that the leaders of the UCPN (Maoist) came out from the meeting by brining an unnecessary agenda of political mechanism at a time when the major three political parties were about to make a common position on disputed issues of the new constitution.
