The counting of votes to elect the new leadership of CPN-UML at the ninth General Convention began at 11:30 am on Sunday.
leader KP Sharma Oli is leading the counting of votes. As per the latest vote update, leader Oli has garnered 154 votes while his rival and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has managed 131 votes. Both Nepal and Oli are vying for the post of party chairman.Senior leaders duo Oli and Nepal contested the election for party chairmanship.The initial result of the vote counting would be displayed once counting of a booth is completed.Votes of Office bearers and central members will be counted simultaneously.
