Police headquarters has transferred Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Kharel , replacing him with Uttam Karki.Kharel was on leave following investigation upon him for making controversial remarks.Kharel has been posted in work division at the headquarters.
SSP Uttam Karki, who was earlier working at the Central Investigation Bureau, has been given the responsibility of Kathmandu police in the place of Kharel. SSP Kharel had found himself at the center of controversy after he made public comments that some of the aspirants during the promotion of DIGs were visiting ‘power centers’ carrying briefcases.
