Former King Gyanendra Shah celebrated his 68th birthday today by receiving blessings from mother Ratna at Narayanhiti Palace.
Nirmal Niwas at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu was open for the public from as early as 10 a.m. in the morning, as they offered garlands, vermillion tika and flowers to the former king. He is visited former queen mother Ratna's residence Mahendra Manjil within the Narayanhiti Palace to get the blessings. Many supporters and well wishers visited and extended best wishes to him. alking to journalists, Shah urged all political parties to quit ‘prohibitory and conditional’ politics and instead, bring the livelihood issues of the ordinary people to the front.
