ICC grant Nepal T20 international status

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given T20 International status to the Nepal in its latest Board meeting at Melbourne. Netherlands who also took part in the 2014 World T20, have been granted Twenty20 international status.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given T20 International status to the Nepal in its latest Board meeting at Melbourne. Netherlands who also took part in the 2014 World T20, have been granted Twenty20 international status.The other Associates that have T20I status by virtue of having ODI status are Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea and UAE. This meeting was chaired by the new chairman, N Srinivasan and made numerous other observations and a few changes to the rules. However, providing Nepal and Netherlands T20 International status is a major move and encouraging for the Associate nations.This means there are now eight Associate sides with T20I status," the ICC said in a release.
